Diego is a seasoned infrastructure advisor with over 20 years of experience in technical due diligence and ESG advisory for global infrastructure investments.
He specialises in supporting investors and lenders through complex infrastructure transactions—both in primary markets (Public-Private Partnerships) and secondary markets (Mergers & Acquisitions). His work spans a wide range of sectors, including highways, high-speed and light rail, major crossings, tunnels, airports, cable cars, biogas plants, and locks.
Since joining Steer in 2015, Diego has led the expansion of our global Infrastructure Transaction Due Diligence services, driving growth into new geographies and asset classes, while building internal capabilities across our global offices. Known for his strategic leadership and collaborative approach, he brings a strong track record in project execution, stakeholder engagement, and value creation for clients.
Diego is a Chartered Civil Engineer with an MBA in Finance, a Postgraduate Certificate in Infrastructure Project Finance, and executive training in M&A and Private Equity.
