Helen has over 25 years’ experience in travel behaviour change and transport planning, focusing primarily on travel planning.
Helen started her career at Steer in 1997. She specialises in travel behaviour change, working with clients to promote walking, cycling and public transport, and has maintained a wide portfolio of work with interests in school travel and transport, and accessibility. In recent years, Helen has helped to plan bus networks for schools in Oxford and for private companies, worked with universities, hospitals and other organisations to understand and manage staff and visitor travel and encourage more sustainable travel choices, and delivered travel demand management in schools. She has also reviewed active travel programmes to identify potential areas for improvement, including the management of the Bikeability programme in England, and the Cycle Right cycle training programme in Ireland.
At Steer, Helen supports our UK Planning division in project delivery. She has several years’ experience of both managing and directing transport planning and behaviour change projects across the UK.
