James is Steer’s Chief People and Talent Officer, responsible for leading the firm’s global people strategy and ensuring Steer has the capability, leadership and culture to support sustainable growth and strong commercial performance.
James brings more than 20 years’ experience in senior people leadership roles across international professional services, construction and infrastructure organisations. Prior to joining Steer, he was Group People Director at Currie & Brown, where he led the development and delivery of people strategy across more than 25 countries, supporting organisational growth, transformation and leadership development at scale.
He has a strong track record of guiding executive teams through change, strengthening leadership capability and building inclusive, high-performing organisations across complex and diverse markets. At Steer, James leads the global people agenda alongside the People Team, with a focus on capability building, talent development and reinforcing the values and culture that underpin long-term success for clients and colleagues.
