Supporting the redevelopment of Transport for London land in Wembley Park

The London Borough of Brent Planning Committee was granted planning permission for the redevelopment of Transport for London (TfL) land at Brook Avenue in Wembley Park led by a joint venture between Barratt London and TfL.

The scheme will deliver 454 new homes alongside a small retail unit and re-provision of TfL Train Crew Accommodation for its 230 train drivers on the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines.

The Steer team produced various transport documents which justified the re-provision of car parking for train crew and the removal of over 80 public car parking spaces, in line with the Mayor of London’s objectives to reduce the availability of public car parking. We also justified the provision of a triple tier cycle parking solution, which is a space-efficient means of delivering high levels of cycle parking on constrained sites.

This success builds on our growing experience in Wembley and Brent more widely and opens the door to further projects with TfL’s Commercial Development arm as they seek to generate income from surplus operational land.
