Sofia Arroyo joins the Steer North American team

Steer is delighted to welcome Sofia Arroyo as an Associate Director in our Sacramento office. Sofia is joining our Infrastructure team and will contribute to growing our business in Northern California. 

Sofia led our office in Mexico for three years during a period in which economic conditions were challenging due to the pandemic, leading a team of 18 people, and generating significant growth of our business in that country. She also led our office to become carbon neutral in 2022 and implemented local environmental actions towards our commitment to become a net zero carbon company in 2030 that resulted in winning the “Friend of the Planet” award in the first edition of the UK-Mexico GREAT Business Awards.

Sofia joined Steer in 2008 and has built a career as a recognized expert in toll roads and highway transactions working across Latin America and wider global geographies. With more than 16 years of experience in the transport sector, she is highly respected by clients and peers for her technical excellence, including banks, investment funds, and infrastructure developers. Beyond toll roads, Sofia has contributed to the growth of other market areas by leading planning and public transport projects.
