Sangeeta Singh appointed as Associate in Economic Consulting at Steer

Steer is pleased to announce the appointment of Sangeeta Singh as an Associate in the Economic Consulting division. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in research and advisory, Sangeeta brings a wealth of expertise in economic modelling, regulatory economics, and economic impact assessment to her new role.

Throughout her career, Sangeeta has led and contributed to a wide range of projects across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Notably, she has played a key role in projects related to tariff determination in the aviation sector, collaborating closely with regulators, public and private sector airport operators, and fuel farms. Additionally, Sangeeta has provided valuable insights and guidance in competition law, leading a study for the Competition Commission of India focused on the e-commerce industry's business practices and strategies and their implications on competition. Her expertise also extends to advising clients on matters related to cartelisation, abuse of dominance, and merger regulations.

In addition to her regulatory work, Sangeeta has conducted impactful socio-economic impact assessments. She has evaluated India's marquee rural electrification program and various government healthcare schemes. Furthermore, she has assessed the impact of investments in Land Ports development on borderlands. Sangeeta has also led teams in evaluating rural road programs and UNICEF's intervention in averting child marriage in Bangladesh.

Before joining Steer, Sangeeta led Economic Advisory Services at EY in India. She began her career with an Industry Association, moved on to be a financial journalist with India's leading newspapers and then joined Consulting. Armed with a profound understanding of economics, Sangeeta holds both MA and M.Phil degrees.

With her appointment, Sangeeta strengthens Steer's commitment to delivering innovative solutions and insights to clients worldwide. As an Associate in Economic Consulting, Sangeeta is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing the organisation's economic consulting capabilities.
