Technical advisory expert Massimo Picciau joins Steer Davies Gleave

Steer Davies Gleave is delighted to welcome Massimo Picciau, who joins our Italian team in the Rome office as a Principal Consultant. Massimo developed his advisory expertise in large infrastructure projects focusing on technical, contractual and economic aspects, working side by side with legal, traffic and financial consultants.

He joins from PROTOS where, as a leading technical advisor, he delivered key projects in the road, port and energy sectors in Italy, as well as internationally.

Massimo is a chartered civil engineer with over 15 years of experience and a wide professional skillset in different technical areas. Prior to working for PROTOS, he was a senior engineering underwriter at SACE, where he developed his experience in the insurance field. He also developed experience as a design engineer during his time at ITALFERR.

Massimo is deeply competent in project and risk management, with experience in identifying and managing the requirements posed by all stakeholders in high-scale projects. This has been demonstrated in recent infrastructure projects, such as the New East External Ring Road in Milan, the A35 Bre.Be.Mi Highway and T4 Frejus Safety Tunnel.
