Satya Arikutharam joins Steer as an AssociateSteer is pleased to announce the appointment of Satya Arikutharam as an Associate, working with our Delhi office in India.

With a background in transport planning, rail sector and business case development, Satya has led projects both in India and the UK. His work covers demand forecasting, policy formulation, scheme appraisal, rail planning, rail franchise advisory services, infrastructure design delivery, pedestrian planning for stations, and feasibility studies for DfT, TfL, Network Rail, and private sector clients.

Satya has versatile delivery skills with over twenty-five years of experience in the UK and India combined, leading on projects spanning the ‘Policy-Plan-Design-Enable’ spectrum of infrastructure.

He recently advised a state government in India on urban transport policy and provided key inputs to two transformative legislations, to set up the Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority in Bengaluru and to promote active mobility in the state of Karnataka, India.

Satya previously built and led large engineering teams for two international consultancy firms in India delivering high quality work to global clients. Satya is experienced in devising effective governance structures for delivering large projects utilising multi-locational teams.

In addition to providing leadership to sustainable transportation projects and developing our rail sector offering in India and south Asian markets, Satya will also provide project review, project assurance, and bid/project support to our UK and global assignments.
