Highways

The market for private investment in the highways sector is well established — with both a primary (BOT/P3) market and a very active secondary market. Given the high prices that are now seen on core assets, potential investors need to be able to determine the robustness of the cases put forward by vendors, and identify the risks and opportunities the projects present.

Our specialist team offers a wealth of experience based on a long track record of providing consistent and wide-ranging support to projects around the world. We can help with traffic and revenue forecasts, operations (O&M, Capex), tolling systems, Due Diligence, Audits and financial modelling.

We understand that appraisal of the business case for highway assets requires not only a theoretical understanding of the drivers of traffic/revenue and cost but also experience-based judgements, which allow for rapid review of the forecasts put forward. The different questions now facing drivers, through better information, the provision of new managed lane facilities and the changes the market will see as disruptive technology is introduced, make it essential for us to continuously update our analysis across all of our markets.

Our international team of experts allows us to address the different challenges posed by assets across different jurisdictions. We have carried out analysis on more than 500 highway assets and are involved in transactions totalling hundreds of millions of dollars each year.

How we can help you

Throughout our involvement in the highway infrastructure market, Steer has supported grantors, sponsors, lenders and investors and have, we believe, an unparalleled reputation for the quality and integrity of our work.
