Steer Davies Gleave is supporting one of the selected bidders wishing to secure a 50-year concession scheme, valued at  up to €3 billion, which was launched by the Croatian government as part of the privatization of its motorway network. The concession would apply to the entire length of the motorway which is 1,024 kilometres long.

The tender, issued in early 2014, regards the privatization of the motorway network currently operated by two state-owned concessionaires: HAC - Hrvatske Autoceste d.o.o. - a limited liability company managing 868km of motorways and ARZ - Autocesta Rijeka - Zagreb d.d. – a joint-stock company operating approximately 182 km of motorways.

It is hoped that the tender process will be complete within nine to 12 months.
