European Commission publishes Steer Davies Gleave report on rail passengers' rights

The European Commission has just published a report prepared by Steer on rail passengers' rights.

By Steer

The European Commission has just published a report prepared by Steer Davies Gleave on the application and enforcement of the Regulation on rail passengers’ rights and obligations (Regulation 1371/2007).

The report sets out how the various Member States have applied the requirements of the Regulation and how operators in a selection of those Member States are adhering to the requirements. The report concludes that there are no major problems with the implementation of the Regulation by either the Member States or the operators although there were some areas of improvement in some cases.
